Jagalchi Market

Coming here by bus right after Gamcheon Cultural Village where I accidentally saw the name of this market mention on the bus! If not I think I will follow that usual itinerary and direction of alight Nampo Station Line 1 Exit 1.

It's a long stretch of stall selling seafood outside and also indoor for tourist like us who want to eat there. The design of the building is fresh seafood selling on the ground floor and cooking on top selling dried sea products also. Outside foods are not allowed to carry in for you information unless you wanna buy and cook it at home then perhaps you can buy it outside which I think is much cheaper or maybe there's no difference in price actually because you still don't speak Korean. The variety of seafood here is mostly the same, just see and buy from whoever had better customer service ;)

Below are the fresh seafood prices for reference when you are they, everything tasted so so good and fresh, nothing tastes bad but do remember to bargain. After buying all the fresh seafood you can head up to the restaurant or small food court to cook it. Note that they charge seat and cooking by person as they served a variety of side dish (banchan) too which include seaweed (wakame), steamed sweet potato, steamed snap peas, fermented cabbage, fermented radish (musaengchae), fermented spinach (gochujang sigeumchi namul), raw carrot, bean sprouts (sukju namul). The deal we got for per head is 15000 won after bargain ;)

Wiggling octopus seeing them alive and putting it into my mouth tasted super interesting. I recorded a video on this too. It's chewy and silky (sticky) at the same time, you got to munch and chew it, better not swallow. I love this so so much, a must try in Korea, you have no regrets. Enjoy this good food (snack), it's not expensive.
Live octopus 5000 won

Super big shell stuff seafood! All super fresh, nothing taste stink or bad. All these back in Malaysia are something cheap and full of sands while size wise super small and is so called longkang unhealthy food. But here, the size as you can see when I'm comparing with the spoon, it's super big! You can see the organ of it, I mean the detail but it somehow turns super cocky :P
Cockles and clam 10000 won

As an average for 1 abalone, one cost 1000 won only which is supppppper cheap larh, where can you get this kind of price. And it's fresh somemore, must buy must order must eat.
10 abalone for 10000 won

They actually sell this as sashimi but aunt doesn't eat raw food and hence we opt for grilling. The people in Korea most of them beside us had them raw and it looks super attracting with pinkish fillet pieces cut into an art piece. But this grilled fish we had here taste super nice too! Very fresh, I can't explain the taste of fresh seafood.
Fish 15000 won

You should not miss this market! Though the price might be expensive it's super worthy. The price never goes too high if compared to Seoul and Jeju anyway. Enjoy Busan as much as you can :)
