Museum of West Kalimantan Province

It's museum day! Time to understand the city as I'll be staying here for 6 weeks. On a side note, the museum is closed on Monday, other days is open either until 2pm or 3pm. If you really want to visit just go early kay. I reached there with my team late 2pm and we have less than 1 hour to really study everything there. Ticket price is 3000 Rupiah for local people and foreigner at 10000 Rupiah.

Above is a little introduction on the museum itself in Indonesian language. This museum is divided into three parts which are the introduction of some collection they had such as rocks, skull, pottery, stamp, currency and etc., West Kalimantan culture such as religion, culture, art, language and etc. and ceramics of spoon, jars, bowl, plate and etc. from China, Japan, Europe and etc.

You can find more information from this link which is the link to Indonesia museum. While at the back yard of the museum, there's lots of Indonesia traditional house. The structure, building material, carving and design each different from one another. Very traditional house indeed.

Apart from the traditional house, they are also four different items which are the Perahu Tambe (I read the description, this boat is for either marriage purpose to fetch the bride or for welcoming important guest), anchor, Lancang Kuning boat and ceramic furnace.
