Mid Autumn Festival with Kao Rou!

Staying in Penang this year for mid autumn festival with lesser coursemate as they all went back during Haji holiday and still not returning due to our loose timetable we talk about in my previous post. So, I just actually kind of slack wasting time watching video from youtube. Having bread for lunch from a bakery near my university which offer up to 28% for their new opening. Bought myself a red bread which I assumed it's dragon fruit bread with raisin and cherries. Later top up my chocolate milk powder stock from Tesco which located just beside.

That's so much afternoon and finally it's time for dinner! Gan came back with this, mooncake! *screammmm* Thought that I won't be eating mooncake on the day itself so I had a few at home last two three weeks. He bought it from RT pastry the famous bread bakery in Selangor, smell so so good. I guess my taste bud is pretty bad these day, I can't taste out the flavor just too fragrant, haha, that's all I can comment about it.

They said to celebrate mid autumn festival, it must be come with barbeque meat. So, we actually google it and finally decide to had it at Ko. B. Q, Bayan Lepas. It's a new shop area with all new restaurant and cafe, there's also Sushi Mentai selling cheap sushi. Shall visit this area next time for other food.

When we reached at 6.30pm, the restaurant was already fully occupied and we were asked to wait outside. During waiting time, we started flipping the menu and discussing what to order later. It's a huge pick and throw selection on what we want to eat. After reaching consensus, it's just right our turn to enter and get seated. We ordered straight away and wefie a little.

The variety of side dishes served which is refillable from clockwise, kimchi, pumpkin, celery, lotus root, long bean, broccoli, spinach, cucumber and sausage. So much of vegetables!

Our first dish came with thick soy sauce and lots of onion. A chinese dish with korean way of cooking.
Jajangmyeon (RM20)

This is the best among the dishes we ordered. It's a bit burn at the back as the workers is too busy to serve other customer too at the same time so you need to do the turning part yourself but overall it's taste good. Two type of sauce is provided which is the garlic oil and gochujang. And it goes together with the lectures too. Wrap it up and munch it :) My friend goes together by adding in side dish to the roll.
BBQ spicy pork belly (RM32)

This is the big pot where every bits of korean food is added inside. This is originated from ancient time where the soldier doesn't have enough cooking utensil hence the adding of all ingredient and cook in one pot. This pot contains tofu, enoki, baked bean, cheese, ramen, glass noodles, ham, tteokbokki, etc.
Budae Jeongol (RM65)

Ended my night with meeting with other coursemate of mine in the stadium with some lantern and candles. Talk a little and everyone headed back for bed.

Happy Birthday Baby!

This happened exactly 10 days back. I went back home for my dental appointment and with really loose timetable as I don't register for extra subjects, I manage to go back for like one week which include the Malaysia day holiday. We are celebrating their cake one day after because of the big meal we had in BMS organics for dinner. We are too full for second round. Didn't expect the portion to be that big and we each ordered one set for ourselves. The food is serve compliment with two spirulina tablets and a cup of ginger tea.

Kitkat and Maltesers with chocolate and cheese cake ordered by mum. The cake is pretty delicious except that the chocolate which is the Kitkat and Maltesers are too sweet. Oh ya, they don't have candles to light up and blow as the order itself didn't provide and baby don't want to buy so we just plainly sing song and they make wish without candle :)

Below is their photo, just normal house wear clothing as they just woke up. And it's a celebration early morning, we wanted to make it as breakfast, haha! Really cincai la, sorry baby.

Them trying to make star above. I wasn't in the camera as I'm pretty ugly too. And how the cake look after being cut.

Lastly, happy birthday baby once again. You two will always be my baby no matter how old you grow. I will always buy you things, drive you out or even be your partner in crime. Love you, from sis.

The lunch that day, work out with sister. I actually just toast this, my sister did all the work as in wrapping the enoki with bacon.

One year older

My 23th birthday with family before school reopen again as in returning back to Penang for my final year. After studying in Penang, never had I been celebrating my birthday on the exact day. And I actually lost call on my age, thought I had reached the age of 24, too old to count. I speak like an old lady now nevertheless I'm very glad of my young looking face.

Tadaa! My birthday cake, charcoal cheese? I had no idea on what the cake name is, as it have passed 20 days since this celebration. But this cake is delicious! Not too sweet for everyone favoring and got finish up by my family within few minutes :)

Me posing with the cake with candles lighten up. And a few more wishing pose and candle blowing pose after I actually blew the candles as the wax is melting too fast. Of course birthday song is sang between the photo as the candle is still lighting up.

A photo with my parents before the group photo. Thanks for raising me up to a healthy ones. I'm really glad to be one of the lucky ones :) And following goes with siblings and whole family portrait sort of.

Okay, is time to dissect the cake. *monster look*

Tiny present by my sister and another one on the morning by my brother. 100% handmade using surplus material :)

Had a total of 3 celebration this year. Very grateful to the people that surround me with love and keep me away from disaster. Thanks for remembering my birthday without facebook notification. I don't know when I set it to private either, I don't intend to hide it. But just let it be, aren't going to change it back. Thanks for all the sweet and lovely text friends, some surpise ones from long lost friend too, I definitely appreciate those moment we been together. A meet up soon after I finish my studies, guess I'll have some time for a bit of fun before entering the working field where the battles start with lesser free time. Not exactly knowing what it will likely be but sounds bad listening from friend who had started working. Fighting everyone! :)

Langkawi Itinerary

I had written up two posts for Langkawi on Skybridge and Island hopping, you can click in and view. This post is to sum up my whole travelling journey in Langkawi with few other places I visited. Too much of procrastinate and I might had forgotten the details about every particular, hope some details I wrote is still useful for your little guide to Langkawi!

The view when I'm sitting on the plane, few minutes before it landed. I'm very lucky to get the window seat. The plane fly just above the fluffy cloud.

Our first stop, the Eagle Square. After we arrived, we immediately contact our car rental to collect car and drive off to jetty to fetch our friend. Owh, they do distribute free map both at the airport and jetty, do just take one from them as extra guidance even though you had already prepared earlier, as it's FREE! Just an extra secure and probably few more time to waste?

Eagle Square is probably just a big eagle statue, for your information a very famous ones where everyone take a photo with it and this shown that you had already been to Langkawi. This big statue is located at Dataran Lang near the jetty. You probably go there so you can book your tour for island hoping.

Next, the Pantai Tengah. This beach is smaller and less packed compared to Pantai Cenang the very tourist attraction place. The top activity here as you can see is the parachute. It usually cost RM120 per round but when you visit during off season we get a discount up to 50% which is just RM60. It will be even fun if it's on a windy day. Detail photo below :)

After that, we went to the Seven Well, which is located a few kilometers away from Skybridge. This is a place where you can see waterfall and seven well means there's seven natural holes forming which look like a well. This place involve a lot of climbing, not exactly hiking. There's like hundreds to thousands of stair to climb to reach the end. There's two part of it which is the middle part where you can see the waterfall and the upper part where you are on where the water falls and is where the seven well located.

We first climb all the way to the top. Few of my friends nearly gave up as it's a tiring journey. Hence, I had a lot of selfie on the way with the trees, stairs and probably the sky.

We settled our dinner at the 7roof restaurant which is found at the tripadvisor. But, this totally disappoint us. Not to say the food is small in portion but the price is extremely expensive. We weren't fed full and instead drinking plain water more. After this dinner, we were broke and we settled our meal with minimum budget. We discussed that we will have seafood back when we reach our hometown, Boston which is so much cheaper, big in portion and delicious.

Our second day was about Island hoping and walking along Cenang street. Here's where we settled for our dinner, a truck serving sandwich. We opted their cheapest choice which is sandwich cheese with chips that cost us RM7 per set. This taste good with their sweet and sour sauce and chips with chili flakes.

While this is our snack after Island hoping at the K-chicken which is recommended by the promoter at Teow Soon Huat. This restaurant is located at the top of the mall beside their food court. It's operated by a young Korean guy. The chicken fried is fresh as he'll restock it from the market every morning. We bought all the three types of chicken sold in the restaurant which is original, honey sauce garlic and sweet chili chicken. Price is RM3 for per piece of chicken. You might need to wait for some time as the owner will only cook after he received order not like how other fast food restaurant operate.

This is how we spent our night with few bottles of beer of variety brand and taste, we even bought the mocha beer which is coffee with beer aroma (I don't even know how to describe it in a proper way). I favor Savanna dark the most which taste like red wine but with gas.

Our last stop being the Cenang beach, an hour before departing to the airport. It's a little too windy and tiny rain on the first two days of our trip hence we are extremely excited when we see the sun and we drive straight to the beach even with low petrol. Everything on the beach cost even the beach chair, you better not sit on it before paying. Apart from that, there's a lot of water activities going on, price can be bargain.

Bought these chocolate mostly from Teow Soon Huat as after comparing a few shop lots. They sell the cheapest chocolate (but some places do provide offer for certain chocolate and hence cheaper) and they have a lot variety for you to choose. Sad as they no longer selling the elephant chocolate where mummy request. Anyway, I got to buy my favorite ritter sport in a whole load of amount. Spent approximate RM200 for all the chocolate below.

Overall spent around RM700 throughout this 3 days 2 nights trip. Below is the breakdown cost:
Flight: RM50
Accomodation: RM50
We book Malinja vacation house
Car rental: RM85
Avanza RM90/day, Saman RM40, Coupon, Petrol
Skybridge: RM25
Island hoping: RM35
Food and drink: RM150
Chocolate: RM200
