A tour with Johorians in KL

I'm now a girl with plans as in not staying at home everyday. Working on the weekdays and hanging out with friends at the weekend. Now when you are working, you definitely understand the term about Monday blue and TGIF.

Coursemates from Johor came to KL for their internship so we decided to hang out at the weekend. Explore a bit of the city side since they had nothing to do at their rented room. My friend come out with a food hunt plan where he get all sorts of information from the web but end up we went only one of his suggestion. Aren't we bad? We are too full for his plan, next time kay XD

Our first station, Publika! Was supposed to enter a brunch cafe but end up the cafe is fully booked with event happening inside so we walk in this burger restaurant, Fat Boys. The stuffs there is nice, they provide good service. They joke with you, talk with you, serve you free drinks and refill whenever it's empty and also helping on giving the inertia for pouring out the sauce which is stuck inside. Had a great time there chatting with the gang. The portion is big for me, well, we could had shared our meal to taste more variety. A wefie of us before we start chewing on our burger.

My choice of burger, The Elvis. Because I saw the word BANANA! It's serve with bacon stuffed pork patty, grilled banana and peanut butter on honey oat burger. The taste it's just fine for me. My friend who ordered the same burger said it taste like a salty cake instead because of the ingredient it use.

Gao Wen's choice of burger. She commented it was just so so as the bacon is too dry and it's very difficult for her to stuff the burger.

Planned to have tea time there to one of the famous chocolate cafe but we are too full so we decided to shop around for some exercise. Off we went to MidValley. We stayed in the mall for more or less an hour and we decided to leave. As it was too pack with people, there's no enough space for walking. Can't shop much as all you can see is people. Friend ask if we can visit an unfamous mall with lesser people.

Head to Damansara for Ecole P, one of the shop suggested by Gan. A theme cafe of school reminiscing our memories on primary school. The cafe is full with all sorts of stuff we used during our old school day. Even their menu is written in exercise book and student handbook, the drinks is name based on the subject and cartoon character those days, the spoon and fork is keep in the bag hang beside the corner of the table inside a pencil box and there's all sorts of decoration from all subject occupying the whole cafe. They prepared also a lot of props for us to take photo. A few of our most common use line when we are young at school. Anyway, the food and drink is just so so afterall the cafe is selling it's theme and fancy name. Below is a few picture on our ordered.

We ended up at SS2 Murni though our plan was actually steamboat buffet but we were still full so we opted for something near yet nice. SS2 Murni is always my favourite mamak stall as the food is really nice, cheap and the portion is generous. This time I ordered myself a claypot lou shu fan and monkey special while other friends of mine ordered pink panther, kiss me baby, chicken chop, spaghetti, mee raja meletup and tandoori. We will come again for some other dishes and I shall remember to bring along my camera.

It was really nice to have them around. Just last two days, they came down to Klang for Bah Kut Teh session and Setia Alam pasar malam. Ehemm, this is a long due post which happen last last Sunday on the 8th of March and we met up again last Saturday on 21st March. Looking forward to more gathering and the trip to Muar for some good food.

In the rain

The rain pour heavily today with lighting, thunder and strong wind few minutes before work end. Dang, the bell rang and I look out from the window, the wind looks gentle although rain is still heavy. Decided still to drive home thought I could handle it by driving slowly. I drive at an average of 65km/h this time. Anyway, the heavy rain actually blurred my vision, the road is slippery and I wasn't focusing much on the vehicles in front of me but the ground to see if there's any accumulate water which cover up the road hole. Nearly gotten myself into an accident, and luckily I manage to step on the brake, a sudden sharp brake I made with high pitch sound from nowhere. I actually shiver, my heart skip a beat and continuously beating fast, thanks god I'm alive. Got to be really careful the next time. And I guess, next time if it's rain I shall stay in the company for a little while.

A scene actually caught my attention while I was jamming half way at the toll. A truck carrying few workers with an open wooden body while the rain is pouring so heavily. I saw a few workers is holding themselves each a plastic board on top of their head trying to keep off from the rain but does that help? Maybe a little. So there's another worker I saw just let the rain hit on his face, his body and kind of soaking his hair and clothes in the rain (water). Looking at their face I know that they are helpless, they aren't have a choice to choose, that's their life they are struggling and holding on. My heart ache a little.

Still there's people out there love rain. They love how the rain drop, how the rain sound. There's people who love to drench themselves into the rain for fun or maybe to wash away their sorrow.

What does rain means to you?

Cousie in the house

The ninth day of CNY, 27 Feb. Yes, a late due chinese new year post.

So this time, we had our gathering at my house! It's time for them to get out of Kuala Lumpur and do a bit of travelling down here. It's a Friday night, everyone after settling their work, get wash, clothes up and rush down here for our little yee sang gathering. I had cousin who reached at 10pm.
There you go, everyone awaiting yee sang!

And we also did a small celebration for Uncle Wong, it's his birthday! The famous need to reserve durian cake, it's so so delicious. The cake is very generous in the ingredient, it's really tasty if you are a durian lover.

Here's my cute cousin. She's super cute, getting pretty when she grown up. A difficult children to be attend, serve or handle. Find hard to find a toy for her to play with as my siblings is all grown up but finally my sister from no where get to dig out something. Ah, I'm missing her already, hope our next meet she still remembering me?

Here are the young ones. They got a gift from aunt and I ask them to post it. Very adorable isn't them? This guy is already seven years old entering primary school this year, hope he reduce naughtiness and get more friends! :)

My cousin brother, he's currently working but still single perhaps, anyone?

The pretty ladies smiling for the camera :)

And lastly a groupfie photo of Loh Family. Shall meet with you guys shortly! All the best to everyone :)

Carelessness

Hi Tuesday! I experienced Monday blue yesterday, unwilling to wake up from bed for work. Got to the office 3 minutes late and hence got a red mark on my punch card, the clock in my company is early by 8 minutes so in fact I wasn't late in real time. And the jam yesterday took me 30 minutes to the company, the longest time I spent. Reluctant to talk in the morning and was busy with all the samples analysis. Too much of fun on Sunday I supposed hence causing the blue mood.

Today mark the 12th day of me being an intern working in a lab company. Still remember my reaction when I first got this company. My friend ran into my room few minutes after the announcement made by professor about our internship company. I feel rejectful when seeing me been placed in a lab company, I'm weak in lab work. I watch my teammates do the work, most of the time I'm doing recording result. Yes, it is a task! But friend said who knows you become a pro after working there and we might need your help.

My first day to the company, they separate me with another coursemate of mine. I'm being located at the food chemistry lab, something we had already learnt in our school, the test, the apparatus, the machines not new for me except the chemical and method they used were different. School is easy, but the outside world is totally something different. I actually forgot almost everything taught in the school as I had really little involvement in all those experience, it's group work. And my memory is bad, I memorize for exam hence it explain everything. Broke a cubicle in the first week and being warn to be extra careful the other time, and today I broke another glass centrifuge tube. I think I broke their record. *no eye see* My trainee must be tough to absorb the mistake I made. So sorry for all the troubles, I'll be extra alert next time and try to be smart as I should be.

Studying and working is so much different. My friend at work always tell me to enjoy being a student, enjoy study, enjoy holiday, go trip as often as you can and enjoy the freedom we had now. Cause if you start working, there's no longer holiday even if you had. You will be bound with responsibilities and projects. You got to solve problems that arise out of no where even if it wasn't create by you.

When you are at school, friend being friend, talk to you all the time, you have plenty free time to chat. You hang out to shopping mall, your favorite spot, fun hunt and try out all new stuff. You still study together solving past year question few days before the final hits. But when you are working, every thing starts shuttering. Maybe is just me cause I have problem in communication. You will be surprise when your Bahasa Melayu fails you. Discussing weird topic to kill awkwardness and it turn out even awkward. Got so much space to improve.

It's a thing

Saw these somewhere in the web few weeks ago and decided to share it here to my readers or maybe me myself. Once in awhile, you just need some time alone talking to yourself.

I have low self esteem on myself. I praise others a lot, they desire the compliment, they are awesome, they are smart, they are brilliant, they are beautiful, they are just too good to be my friend. I always feel proud to have them.

I'm weak in conversation. Sometimes I don't feel like talking, I want to just listen to others stories in fact it's always the opposite, I always thought people know me better than I know them cause they are the one who start the question and all I did was answering what had being asked and maybe a little add on for the answer. My questioning is weak, I don't know what to ask, in fact I don't know if it's the correct way to act the way I'm acting now and talk the way I'm talking.

I constantly just let it be, things will vanish as time pass. Often being bullied by people pointing me to do this and that for them, asking me this and that, and all I did was saying yes and helping them out as much as I can because I'm too lazy to find excuse to reject any. I believe in doing good deed and collecting karma.

I'm kind, mean sometimes but that's when you did something unkind to me. I'm probably a person who smile a lot, laugh like crazy and sometimes happen to cheer the people around me unintentionally, I wonder if it's because my stupidity or naiveness or both? Anyway, this two words doesn't differ much though.

I keep my promise as much as I remember it, don't blame my bad memory XD But I wonder why am I the one who got ffk. You never know who you are, hng! Awh, damn! Nevermind, I'm going out tomorrow with a bunch of friend from school for food hunt. It's been two months seen we last met, I want to talk badly.

I'm talkative actually. But I pick, I'm pickie.

I am just another ordinary human who live somewhere on earth.

Family Day @ San Nae Deul, Bangsar South

As you know from my previous post, I had less house visiting for this Chinese New Year, maybe a little old for house hoping? I don't know, I feel like an adult now. No longer the teenagers who love angpau and even compete the amount of money received. Now, I work to earn extra money apart from the regular pocket money from parent.

Ah, out of topic again!

We spent our third day of Chinese New Year here at the Nexus, Bangsar South. Saw this deal in Groupon and couldn't resist to buy this offer, it's super cheap! It's only RM24 for lunch, korean buffet and with additional of RM10 you get to BBQ your own meat. Of course we go for the second option which is to barbecue our own meat! The already-cook-food has less variety compared to the raw meat slice.

Remember to go early cause the restaurant is small and has limited space especially on weekend it's going to be crowded with people. You will need to queue if the seat are fully filled. So that you know, you get to eat for a maximum of 2 hours, you need to pay another RM10 for an additional of 30 minutes if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, the interior design of this restaurant is beautiful. They decorate it with bamboo, plant, light bulb, etc. You going to love the environment here.

Here's how the entrance look, beautiful isn't it?

I love the ice cream here. It's different from the ordinary ice cream we had. It's more ice compare to cream.

And my sis favourite oranges.

After lunch, family photo! This is what happen when we see mirror, definitely our usual kind of family photo. Pose everyone, 3, 2, 1..

And the usual photo shooting with siblings when the camera met beautiful view and object. The Chinese New Year decoration at Nexus.

Not to forget taking photo with siblings.

And the now popular ootd photo.

They say the background is nice. But I believe I look nice in this photo (boosting self confident >.<). No, don't focus on the stomach, I just had my buffet lunch remembered? XP
Time for yoga or some exercise.

FGS Dong Zen

Happy Chinese New Year people! It's already the 12th day of CNY, finally it's come to an end. Not much of house visiting this year as I have only four days of holiday, started my internship on the fifth day of Chinese New Year so instead me and my family come out with lots of random plan.

One day before Chinese New Year, we had our very fruitful meal with meat, fish, vege and lobak. Not the usual day where each of us cook a dish as everyone of us were busy so parents decided that they will list out their own menu and cook themselves. We shall get back to our own culture each people cooking one dish next year!

The first day of Chinese New Year is a vege day. We had our vegetarian lunch in aunt house and we headed to IOI mall, the new shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. Did a little shopping there. Decided to head home after that but while we are checking the GPS to find our way home, we bumped into Jenjarom. So here we are visiting Dong Zen Temple for the beautiful lighting, every year they did a great job.

This is a few photos we took before the sun hide. Cause is a impromptu visit so didn't bought along the camera, again this photo are all taken by my dad's phone. Mum suggested that we should take a few photos before the day goes dark for some quality lighting enough photos before we had our dinner. Here we are in front of a few goat, the zodiac of the year. Wishing everyone have a "goat" year!

This is us in the temple wearing a protective with our shoes on to avoid the floor from getting dirty. Aren't they cute?

Here comes the dark, see see the lighting aren't they beautiful. There's a lot more to walk around but due to time constrain we actually visited a few spot only. Not to forget there's also performance on the stage too.

Posing in front of this cute little figure which symbolize getting a good grades in exam. Hopefully I do :P

Standing below the wishing tree. People hang their wishes on the tree hoping that it comes true. Here is the four ladies in our family.

I personally think mum look like a teenager in this photo.

End this post with a picture of me, if you spot clearly there's a goat there in this picture. May the year of goat bring you happiness, prosperity and fortune :)
