I'm now a girl with plans as in not staying at home everyday. Working on the weekdays and hanging out with friends at the weekend. Now when you are working, you definitely understand the term about Monday blue and TGIF.
Coursemates from Johor came to KL for their internship so we decided to hang out at the weekend. Explore a bit of the city side since they had nothing to do at their rented room. My friend come out with a food hunt plan where he get all sorts of information from the web but end up we went only one of his suggestion. Aren't we bad? We are too full for his plan, next time kay XD
Our first station, Publika! Was supposed to enter a brunch cafe but end up the cafe is fully booked with event happening inside so we walk in this burger restaurant, Fat Boys. The stuffs there is nice, they provide good service. They joke with you, talk with you, serve you free drinks and refill whenever it's empty and also helping on giving the inertia for pouring out the sauce which is stuck inside. Had a great time there chatting with the gang. The portion is big for me, well, we could had shared our meal to taste more variety. A wefie of us before we start chewing on our burger.
My choice of burger, The Elvis. Because I saw the word BANANA! It's serve with bacon stuffed pork patty, grilled banana and peanut butter on honey oat burger. The taste it's just fine for me. My friend who ordered the same burger said it taste like a salty cake instead because of the ingredient it use.
Gao Wen's choice of burger. She commented it was just so so as the bacon is too dry and it's very difficult for her to stuff the burger.
Planned to have tea time there to one of the famous chocolate cafe but we are too full so we decided to shop around for some exercise. Off we went to MidValley. We stayed in the mall for more or less an hour and we decided to leave. As it was too pack with people, there's no enough space for walking. Can't shop much as all you can see is people. Friend ask if we can visit an unfamous mall with lesser people.
Head to Damansara for Ecole P, one of the shop suggested by Gan. A theme cafe of school reminiscing our memories on primary school. The cafe is full with all sorts of stuff we used during our old school day. Even their menu is written in exercise book and student handbook, the drinks is name based on the subject and cartoon character those days, the spoon and fork is keep in the bag hang beside the corner of the table inside a pencil box and there's all sorts of decoration from all subject occupying the whole cafe. They prepared also a lot of props for us to take photo. A few of our most common use line when we are young at school. Anyway, the food and drink is just so so afterall the cafe is selling it's theme and fancy name. Below is a few picture on our ordered.
We ended up at SS2 Murni though our plan was actually steamboat buffet but we were still full so we opted for something near yet nice. SS2 Murni is always my favourite mamak stall as the food is really nice, cheap and the portion is generous. This time I ordered myself a claypot lou shu fan and monkey special while other friends of mine ordered pink panther, kiss me baby, chicken chop, spaghetti, mee raja meletup and tandoori. We will come again for some other dishes and I shall remember to bring along my camera.
It was really nice to have them around. Just last two days, they came down to Klang for Bah Kut Teh session and Setia Alam pasar malam. Ehemm, this is a long due post which happen last last Sunday on the 8th of March and we met up again last Saturday on 21st March. Looking forward to more gathering and the trip to Muar for some good food.
