A chef to be

I guess I have too many interest that pop out for a little while. I was recently into baking. I do spend some time on recipe in the holiday. Not working and have too many time to spend and waste I guess. Airasia now are selling cheap ticket and I really want to just click on one of it, pack my bag and fly. But, get no one to accompany me in terms of the craziness or budget problem. So, I lay back my plan of going outstation but finding some place which is really near so that I can just go alone for like one day. Anyway back to the topic on baking, so I just baked a cheese cake. Ta-daaa!
I used to be afraid of cooking. Yes, I prefer baking. When I was a kid, I'm afraid of fire (I still do now). I was afraid that it might burn my finger, or burn the whole house down. You never know the consequences it will bring. I used to afraid of turning on/off the gas too, you know that moment of the sudden appearance of fire, the sparks it create. Apart from fire, oil is another factor. With a mix of water, it will just splash out from the wok here and there. Hence, I always avoid cooking with oil. Convince myself that food without oil is healthier while knowing the fact that I was actually lying. P/s: I don't even know how to fry an egg.

Another picture on the butter cake. Ingredients used 230g of all purpose flour, 200g of butter, 150g of sugar, 4 eggs and 1 tsp of baking powder. Mixed everything together in a blender and put it in the oven for 170°C for 45 mins.
Last two weeks, I baked souffle! It looks more like an egg tart I know :( It's some sort of a failure product as it does not expand not to mention it doesn't turn out fluffy at all but still edible and turn out nice just that it's a little weird. Somehow I baked this after watching Twelve Front Taste from Nicholas Tse.

Methods on baking a souffle. Separate the egg white with egg york (a total of 7 eggs is used). Mix the egg york with 40g of butter and 240ml of milk, heat it and stir equally. Add in 80g of flour. Egg white is beaten up to form foam with 100g of sugar. combine both mixture spoon by spoon and stir it equally. After that, pour it into the cup and heat it in the oven for 180°C for 20 mins.
