View waking up from WOW hostel in XiMenDing, the sun rises early here, with all tall buildings that make it a city. Making free breakfast of toast with jam, egg, ham, tea and coffee provided by our hostel to start our day in Taipei city.
On a side note, we are staying in this hostel where a mixed dorm room is fitting a total of 17 people. We rent a total of 14 pax bunk bed leaving only 3 empty and it changes people two days once. It's like the whole room is ours! A new thing for me again, bunk bed with curtain and is like you sleeping alone though all the bunk beds are actually sticking together like those built in furniture. And of course, I'm sleeping with my light turn on though I know JiaQing is beside me and another side slept by a stranger as well but still couldn't conquer my fear I guess. Anyway, it's so much fun where we get to all sleep together finally on our last stay. #love
Our first self-discover Taipei plan is to their zoo as they have panda and few other animals we don't have in our country and also their cheap entrance fee costing only NTD60 while in Malaysia it's RM44 for Malaysian not to say if you are a foreigner which will eventually cost you more.
We went there by MRT, the very end of the station named zoo station itself. It's school holiday in Taiwan that day and hence lots of children.
Finally reached here with the sign. And continue with lots of photos of animals. I don't remember what exactly happen that day. What I remembered was the weather is pretty hot and bunch of my friends don't really enjoy sunbathing so we ride the zoo train aka shuttle bus that brought us from one end to another end to and fro by paying with the T-card costing only NTD5.
These panda photos are from my friends. I couldn't manage to take a proper one. It was a line queue thingy, when you buy the zoo ticket you will be presented a separated panda ticket and once you entered the zoo head straight to the panda house and line for that few seconds of taking photos and bye. But it's still panda anyway so seeing with your bare eyes and appreciate that few minutes.
I continued my journey with reptiles, I took lots photo here, one of my favourite kinda animal, iguana, snake, tortoise, alligator, etc. Cold blooded animal but perhaps they are warm in their heart and you might not know :P If you found those people around you, better not let them go, they are cute and super adorable.
Under the sun, we watched the black bear performing a little on eating apples in different corners, including swimming in its small lake too.
Ending with a photo of koala bear. This zoo visit is pretty short, we spent an approximate of 3 hours only or maybe shorter exploring animals we don't have back here. We totally skip the African animal zone, Australian animal zone and Asian rainforest animal as we ride the zoo shuttle bus for both ways and it surpasses all these zones. And we also missed the kids' zone which is pretty fun actually according to another friend of mine. You get to interact with the animal by feeding and touching with those mini ones. Don't miss this zone out, it's located right beside the entrance.
In conclusion, it was really worthy. If you have time, put on more sunscreen and slow down your pace walking around the zoo, you could easily spend half day off here. Have fun!
