Last week marked an end to my second year with finals and night out with coursemates. I'm grateful with the people I met in this university. I had been very independent all these while living and studying in another state settling all the things in my own. But with them, everything seems much more fun and lovely at the same time. If you are studying abroad, you will know that there's always a time where you miss home the most especially during festival and food posted on the social media. Whereby there always this bunch of friends who will constantly solve my crave.
This is during the Duanwu festival, a friend from Perlis brought down this loads of bah zhang from her house and here we have a small dinner celebration with those who didn't manage to go home. Apart from bahzhang, we had also fried meehun and fuzhou barli, and it's all cook by her. Thanks PingFoon for the treat, she's the best cook among our coursemates I can say.
This is another bahzhang found hanging outside my door the other day. Aww~ thanks for the delivery ChooiWen. A girl who help me out a lot in my second year. She drive me out for good food; talk to me and make me feel accompany in the crowd; help me out with socialize (I'm pretty bad).
Surprise bahchang all the way from Johor, it must had been through a long journey at least 10 hours I supposed? Thanks Carolyn a.k.a my daughter, you had been good this while, now it's time for you to embrace what you had in you, to lead and not only to follow and to do. All the best in your undertaking! :)
I actually received four bahzhang this year where I missed out another one bahzhang's photo from my dear roommate, Yongle. She is indeed the best roommate I had. I am blessed to have her and living with her for the past two years is great. She tolerate lots of my bad habits and we always have nice random chat at night. Now thinking about my fourth year of not getting to have you as my roommate sometimes make me feeling worried =/
Throw back to the days of winter solstice festival. Yes, I'm going to express my love all in once, haha! So during these day, it's also Dongzhi festival for Chinese where we will eat tangyuan which symbolize reunion. I'm always a tangyuan fans! And so with a sudden urge, I posted a status on my facebook on my crave towards it weeks before the festival. And before the year of 2013 ended, I received four pack of tangyuan which made my roommate being very jealous of me and claimed that this is the consequences of posting a status on the social media.
And here is my first tangyuan delivery from Huimin, the first coursemate I get to know. I remembered how I met her for the first time. She kind of the people who is blur but clear at the same time. This is the tapao from her society she joined, they had these tangyuan making to bond their members. And these delivery came late night just after she finished her job. Thank you so much!
This bowl of tangyuan is cooked in her room. Sorry that I couldn't join the making of this desert process due to the full schedule I had that day but these definitely taste nice. Thanks Yiyin for the delivery to the cubicle and this is what I had for dinner that day. She is a girl who you can really talk to, rely to and help you out. I get to know her from the International Week, miss those days that we work hard and play hard together.
This is definitely a surprise bowl of tangyuan where it all started with a surprise call from my senior, Wenyang asking whether am I free and where am I cause he had something to pass to me. The bowl received still warm, he just bought it from no where and I'm certainly feeling loved. He is a great guy who constantly look after me and treat me like his sister. I couldn't be more grateful to have him as my direct senior.
Last pack of tangyuan from Pingfoon again. I told you right, she's really good in seducing me with food.
A box of chocolate from Japan by Dr Chernleing. His parents travel abroad and souvenir from them. This guy is just as great as how his name is, I used to call him Dr as that's how other called him the first time I met him. He is intelligent and now it's time for him to get engage and marry, anyone up?
Next up is the souvenir from Japan as our school is having this exchange program this semester for 10 days to the student from school of industrial technology. Little cute mirror with pouch and lots of chocolate, chewing gum, and tidbit from Pingfoon.
Lastly a coin purse from ChooiWen who also went for this Japan exchange program. She have a round of list and every souvenir given is label with name so that no one is missed out.
This is how well I'm being pampered by the people here. How can I not being grateful to have this bunch of people surrounding me. There's lots more awesome people popping in and out of my life. Let see if I have the time to introduce them one by one in the coming post. I understand that people tends to lost contact due to different path taken and of course distance matters. I might not be good in maintaining a relationship but I remembered every individual that add color into my life. Call me up, and I will be there, okay.
